Lesson from the updated grammar of the Romanian language with the teacher Mariana Badea: It is not difficult, but it is something new

The change of the grammar of the Romanian language took by surprise not only the students, but also the teachers.

The new Romanian language program for the gymnasium cycle, recently in force, imposes a different approach to the grammar of the Romanian language by introducing new terms, notions, aspects of lexico-gamatic classes and syntactic functions!

Mariana Badea, teacher of Romanian language and literature, exclusively for DC News, spoke about the new terms introduced

Anca Murgoci: Anticipated clichés and resumed clitics; the quality of the center and the quality of the deputy of the lexico-grammatical classes, achievements of the parts of the sentence and combinatorial possibilities of the parts of speech, the massive nouns and the archigen, the five conjugations of the verb, the presumptive mode, the abolition of reflexive and passive diathesis the ternary relation of the predicative noun, the prepositional complement are some of the new terminologies and notions. There are many notions I haven’t heard of. Please explain what the fifth conjugation of the verb is, for example.

Mariana Badea: Yes, the conjugation of Va is not the hardest thing: from the fourth conjugation were the verbs ending in “i” and “î” (to ascend; to descend), which parted, and the verbs ending in “î” they “went” to the conjugation of Va (to descend).

Anca Murgoci: Let’s do a simple exercise. Imagine that you have a fifth grader in front of you to whom you have to explain the hardest change.

Mariana Badea: There are not many news in the fifth grade. Among these are the pronominal clichés, the “former” unaccented forms of pronouns, the same ones that confused Nica a Ștefan a Petra when he was a student at the “pop factory” and which he had to memorize: “He was crazy to and you lose your life because of him, you give them to us, you give them to me, you give them to us, like Davidica? I, like Mirăuță, didn’t bother much … ”(Ion Creangă,“ Childhood memories ”).

Therefore, clitics can be “anticipated clitics” if they are in front of the complement and “resumed clitics” if they are after it. It’s not hard, but it’s something new.

* I saw Mihai in the park. – l = anticipated clitic (before the direct complement “Mihai”, noun replaced by the pronominal clitic: who did I see? him / him / l-).

* I saw Mihai in the park. – l = clitic resumed (found after the direct complement “Mihai”, noun replaced by the pronominal clitic: who did I see? him / him / l-).

Another novelty in the fifth grade is the prepositional complement, the accusative case, coming from the former indirect complement in the accusative, the one that answers the questions with preposition: with whom, with what, from whom, from what, for whom, for what, to whom, to what? and so on

A novelty, which I did not understand as an argument for changing the term, is the fact that the enunciative sentence – the one after which “dot” is written – is called “assertive statement”, as well as the fact that a distinction is made between “statement”. ”And“ sentence ”.

“Romanian language. Grammar for students ”, at Badea & Professional Consulting Publishing House, a unique book on the market that simply explains the changes

To make it easier for students to understand these novelties, Mariana Badea, a teacher of Romanian language and literature, published the book “Updated Grammar”. Explains and clarifies the new terminologies and concepts – quite a lot – that students are not used to, and in textbooks they either do not exist at all, or are only mentioned.

At the end of the book, there is “EXTRACT FROM THE ORDER OF THE MINISTER OF NATIONAL EDUCATION NO.3393 / 28.02.2017 – ANNEX NO.2 – ON THE APPLICATION OF NEW PROGRAMS FOR GYMNASIUM EDUCATION”, which refers strictly to the grammar of the Romanian language.

The book is also addressed to people who want to be admitted to the Faculty of Law, the Police Academy, the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Journalism, the Faculty of Communication Sciences, SNSPA.
