During the first lockdown from mid-March, the roads and the Tauern Autobahn were free. The measured pollutant values dropped significantly.
Most annual balances are likely to be negative this year. This is something to be proud of: The data from the country’s monitoring network shows that the concentration of pollutants in the air is lower this year than it has ever been since records began. In the case of fine dust (PM10), a maximum of three days were registered with a limit value being exceeded – in Tamsweg.
