Less than a quarter of usual air traffic recorded in July

Paris-Orly June 26 – JP PARIENTE / SIPA

In July at Paris, commercial air traffic did not reach a quarter of its level of a year ago, due to the crisis in
coronavirus, said the manager of Roissy and Orly airports on Monday,
ADP.

Traffic at Paris Aéroport – Roissy / Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly – was down 77.1% compared to July 2019 with 2.4 million passengers received.

The rebound is however notable, since they were only 678,000 in June (-93.2% over one year) and 204,000 in May (-97.8%). Traffic showed a drop in July of 85.5% over one year for flights outside Europe (-50.4% to overseas), 76.2% for flights to other European countries and 55.2% for domestic flights, according to ADP. The filling rate of aircraft at Orly and Roissy was 66.4%, down 22.8 points over one year.

Only terminals 2A, 2C, 2E and 2F are currently open at Roissy, as is Orly 3 and, since July 13, Orly 4, the group recalled in a press release.
