Ternate, Hpost – Head of Ternate City Health Office, North Maluku Nurbayti Maradjabessy, admitted that at the beginning of 2022 her party recorded that there had been seven cases of sufferers Dengue fever (DBD).
“This year, according to the data, there have been seven cases and one person has died living in Takoma Village,” said Nurbayti, to the JMG team, Thursday, January 20, 2022.
He said, currently his party is conducting counseling and outreach.
“This year I will try to suppress the decline in cases, because in 2020 it was 120 cases and in 2021 it increased 130 cases, because it was too rainy,” he said.

Asked about the steps to suppress dengue fever in Ternate, Nurbayti admitted, they must be intense in conducting outreach and people should not throw used goods carelessly.
“Don’t let water stagnate in the reservoir, such as clogged sewers at several points in Ternate City and continue to be left uncleaned. That’s not our responsibility,” he explained.
“So the technical OPD and the community must have a joint role in eradicating the outbreak that could be a source of dengue fever. If we want Ternate to be healthy, let’s keep it clean together,” he concluded.
