They were saved by Les Tuche. This film, featuring a family suddenly becoming rich, allowed ten Ile-de-France residents to pocket a million euros. All colleagues, these workers, who are between 40 and 65 years old used to play Euromillion every month together, reports Le Parisien. “We’ve been playing for fifteen years. […] Everyone puts in the same amount: 10 euros,” declared one of them (who prefers to remain anonymous) to our colleagues.
A film more useful than a wanted notice
The FDJ (Française des jeux) searched all summer for the winners of the June 30 draw. Once the draw is made, the winner has 60 days to come forward. If necessary, the sum is either put back into play or paid back to the State. The lucky winner, who had validated his ticket in the 20th arrondissement of the capital, had completely forgotten to check if he had won.
It’s the rebroadcast of Tuche, Tuesday September 5 on TF1, which made him realize that the best film in the world is still real life. So he innocently went to check the results, for himself and his colleagues. The surprise was total when he realized that he had not pocketed the five euros he was used to when he played. After validating your ticket, he still doesn’t know how much he won.
We arranged to meet him at the FDJ headquarters the next day. In the meantime, he learned that the organization was looking for a million-euro winner. He immediately understood that he and his colleagues had hit the jackpot. 100,000 euros eachthis is a nice sum for these workers who do not yet know what to do with this sum. Why not settle in Monacolike Jeff Tuche’s family?
