During this annual fundraising weekend for Restaurants du cœur, volunteers and donors were not to be outdone in Remoulins, with two teams deployed in the two supermarkets of the city, Lidl and Carrefour Market.
From March 5 in the morning to Sunday March 7, at noon, five tonnes of food and hygiene goods were collected. These goods will be transported to the central depot in Nîmes to be then distributed among the twenty-five food distribution centers of the department.

For this large-scale operation, fifty-three stores were mobilized this year in the Gard. Sylvie Llorca, who led the team of volunteers at the Lidl store, is satisfied with the results obtained. For Alain Mauger, deputy manager of the future Center des Restaurants du cœur in Remoulins and who was with his team at the Carrefour Market, “People on the whole responded to our call for solidarity. In a disparate way, some gave nothing, while others full caddies. What is also reassuring is that the volunteers are more and more mobilized. young, they feel concerned and therefore succession is assured “.
