Since 2010, the association Les P’tits loups de Thionville has watched over children from birth to 2 years old for food and hygiene, up to 16 years old for clothes. On Wednesday March 29, it held its general meeting and took the opportunity to take stock of its activities. “On the recommendations of social workers, we helped 369 families from several municipalities around Thionville, summarized President Marie-Thérèse Vanbesien. The number of beneficiaries is on the rise. “During the year 2022, the association recorded 2,892 passages. More than 24,000 small savory and sweet pots were distributed, 1,323 cans of infant milk, 2,941 liters of milk. Les P’tits Loups account for 27,000 euros in expenses. Thanks to good management, donations, seasonal sales and dues, they are back on their feet.
Indispensable donations
For 2023, the association intends to relaunch operations in the schools of Thionville, while carrying out food collections while managing four sales at the Belfry. The next one will be on June 10. “And we always need shoes, pajamas, childcare equipment”, specify the volunteers who are not idle throughout the week. Véronique Schmit, assistant to the city, and Stéphanie Kis, representative of the Region and the CCAS, welcomed the investment of the P’tits Loups and the importance of their missions. “Your association is important to us, we will continue to support you. »
The association, which is located rue du Cygne in Thionville, is accessible in the afternoons from Monday to Friday.
