In this production Heldenbergh plays the role of film director Gabriel who tries to make a film with four young people from a working-class neighborhood in the northern French coastal town of Boulogne-Sur-Mer. The four characters, Ryan, Lili, Jessy and Maylis, are the worst in the auditions, as the title implies. They all have their problems.
The film was received with thunderous applause and minutes-long applause at its world premiere in Cannes on Sunday.
