As we know, with its numerous constantly modernized facilities, with its 45 clubs and 7,000 licensees, with its champions in many disciplines, Les Herbiers is a sporting city.
We have a new illustration of this with the victory of the City in the challenge of the most sporting municipality in the Pays de la Loire which “ rewards exemplary municipalities in the implementation of effective sports policies “. This challenge is organized by the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee.
For Véronique Besse, mayor of Les Herbiers, this new title is both a great reward and a challenge.
“A great reward, because it salutes the efforts of our municipal team in favor of the facilities and clubs in our municipality. Behind the 45 clubs, there are thousands of volunteers and athletes. This victory for the most sporting municipality is first and foremost theirs! They can therefore count on us to support them ”.
“But this award is also a new challenge. We must now go further, aim higher. There is no shortage of projects and we will be there ».
The 2022 budgetary guidelines, discussed last Monday, are proof of this: after the locker rooms at the Massabielle stadium will come the overall repair of the synthetic pitch and the construction of new locker rooms at La Salmondière, as well as the repair of the Admiral room.
