Les Flâneries Musicales is not just a festival. There is indeed a season that punctuates its year, with, in addition to cultural actions carried out among audiences far from culture, in schools, nursing homes, as well as conferences, concerts, like the one proposed this Saturday, December 9 at the Cirque du Manège in Reims to celebrate Christmas a little early. On the program, Mendelssohn’s Weihnachtsoratorium, Christmas Night by Rimsky-Korsakov, and a Christmas Cantata by Honegger. The concert is carried by a whole collective of musicians and singers: the Nicolas de Grigny choir will mix its voices with those of the Variatio choir, the Maîtrise de Reims, the Axonance ensemble, and all will be accompanied by the Orchester des Ondes Plurals. The talented soprano Hadhoum Tunc will be present solo, with Yan Toussaint, baritone, conducted by Jean-Marie Puissant.
So that the generosity of Christmas takes on its full meaning, and in a spirit of commitment to its historic partners, Flâneries Musicales has announced that it will donate part of the concert’s ticket sales to two causes: the CHU Action Fund of Reims, relaxation and relaxation in a protected area, as well as to the Salvation Army Foundation, development of the activity room of the Reims Family Pension, which respectively work to ease the anxieties of patients who fight against illness, and “A roof for the Future” which houses a 25-place guesthouse for single, fragile and isolated people.
When the pleasure of music mixes with good deeds, there is no other better opportunity than to go to a show.
