On board, children with cancer, led by volunteers from the associations Les Deuch’S and Louis Carlesimo. These embark ten young people aged 10 to 16 hospitalized at the Néquerre hospital in Paris. Twelve-year-old Kevin is about to board a red and black two-horse: “She has her charm.” This car enthusiast was among the first to wake up this morning: “I can’t wait.”
The stay is indeed something young travelers dream of. Brice Delamare, vice president and coordinator of the rally, details the stages of the journey, listing exhilarating activities. A tour of the Paul-Ricard circuit in Castellet, a visit to a Navy ship in Cassis, an evening on the beach in Saint-Tropez… Their stay ends on Sunday May 7 in Monaco, where the principality (partner of the association) will welcome them to the palace.
The two horses parked in front of the arenas catch the eye of amused passers-by. An additional tourist attraction, according to some, including Henry, a German tourist who came to visit the Roman monuments: “These are beautiful little cars!”
Enough to confirm the words of Brice Delamare: “It’s a media medium, quite mythical in France, which makes you smile”. Honoré Carlesimo, founder and president of Louis Carlesimo, is moved: “It brings a bit of nostalgia, these cars that made us dream so much when we were kids!”
