Leptospirosis Precautions Urged for Flood-Prone Areas in Tangerang City, Banten

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG — The Tangerang City Health Service, Banten urges the public to anticipate the emergence of comorbidities which most commonly occur in the rainy season. Influenza, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), diarrhea, skin diseases, etc leptospirosis including them.

“We urge the people of Tangerang City to continue implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) in their daily lives,” said the Head of the Health Service, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, in his statement in Tangerang, Wednesday (3/1/2024).

Dini said that this disease is very common in the rainy season, some have even started to have fevers, accompanied by flu and coughs. Therefore, PHBS is one of the precautions for keeping the body healthy.

Dini also advised people to get enough rest. Apart from that, consume balanced nutritious food, consume fruit and vegetables, drink enough mineral water, exercise, and take vitamins if needed.

“Don’t forget to always check the cleanliness of our house so that it doesn’t become a nest for mosquitoes in particular Temples of the Egyptians,” he said.
