Grigory Leps said that he had a special relationship with the song “White Roses”.
Recently, the artist reflected on the topic of creativity. In a conversation with reporters, he noted that it is incredibly difficult to guess with a song that millions of listeners will know. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to find such a composition.
As an example, the artist cited “White Roses” of “Tender May”. According to Leps, he would now pay a lot of money to own the rights to this song. As the singer noted, such songs are rare in our time.
At the same time, Leps clarified that he would not have performed “White Roses” if he had become the copyright holder. In his opinion, at his age, such a repertoire would have looked strange.
“The idea to purchase songs performed by Yuri Shatunov is not without meaning. But I don’t know if I can acquire the right to perform, but I would buy these songs so that they would be in my piggy bank. Maybe there will be some young performer who interprets them in his own way, and the song will be able to find a new life, ”the artist told reporters TASS.
