Leontine Ruiters is no longer dating John Huiberts. The presenter and ex-wife of Marco Borsato confirmed in October that she and the multimillionaire had a “fun” time together, and later that she was in love. But now the fledgling relationship is over.
Huiberts tells after reporting from Yvonne Coldeweijer RTL Boulevard that the two have decided “in good consultation” to no longer be together.
“It is a choice of both of us and nothing happened. We are still on speaking terms and wish each other well.”
Out of respect for Ruiters, Huiberts does not want to say anything about the reason for the split. “We got to know each other very briefly and I decided to go to the left and she to the right.”
In November, Ruiters said that she had fallen in love with the businessman. “Yes, I am in love. It still exists, at 54.”
The now 55-year-old Ruiters has not yet confirmed the news himself. Before the relationship with Huiberts, she was married to Borsato for almost 22 years. In 2020, the two separated. Together they have three children: sons Luca and Senna and daughter Jada.
