Leontine states in the magazine that she had everything her heart desired, but that she was not happy with the life she and Marco had created together. “Our family has been through so much in the past twenty years, we have lived in a pressure cooker with each other. Marco was not always there for me and I was not always there for him. And then he chose a different path,” she confesses. “A wrong way, he thinks that too, a bit stupid, but we are all human.”

Because there were many stories about their breakup, Marco decided at the beginning of this year to put on the robes and give an interview to Linda de Mol in which he spoke extensively about the now infamous ‘intimacy vacuum’ and his extramarital affair with Iris Hond. According to the Wheel of Fortunestar, this was the only way to right all the falsehoods at once. She understands very well that he has chosen to do so, and does not blame him. Ten explains, “In a marriage, there are two of you. If someone isn’t faithful, it doesn’t mean they’re all bad.”
–
She also doesn’t blame Iris Hond, with whom Marco had an affair. In the magazine Leontine tells candidly about the meeting with her, who according to Leontine was ‘friendly’. “Women who go out with married men are often labeled as mean, but those are also people of flesh and blood, they may have lost the connection with themselves along the way.”
She continues: “I don’t blame myself. Nor him. Good or bad, this is just a turn that our lives have taken. It has all been life lessons.”
