Leonid Pasechnik elected as Head of Lugansk People’s Republic

Leonid Pasechnik was elected head of the Lugansk People’s Republic. The corresponding decision was made at a plenary meeting by deputies of the People’s Council. Pasechnik himself spoke about this on his Telegram channel.

“Took the oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the people. Officially took office as the Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” wrote newly elected head of the region.

Previously, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, was appointed head of the Republic. Head of Zaporozhye area became Evgeny Balitsky.
