55-year-old Leonid Agutin sharply raised prices for performances. As it became known to the TV program, the performer of the hit “Barefoot Boy” now demands five million rubles for going on stage. Previously, his fees were much more modest: in 2020, producer Sergei Lavrov stated that on average, the husband of Maria (Angelica) Varum earns no more than two to three million for a corporate performance.
As journalists note, after the start of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Agutin seriously thought about finally moving to the United States, but in the end he decided to accept the new reality and even make money from it. Recently, the artist’s expenses have increased: in May it became known that Leonid Nikolaevich financially helped his daughter Elizabeth, who is permanently living overseas, to purchase an apartment in the USA.
Just recently, Leonid Nikolaevich held a huge solo concert at the VTB Arena, organized a Music Educational Forum in Sochi, and also spoke several times to businessmen. It is curious that back in May of this year, Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote that Agutin condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine. In the end, however, he managed to get away with it and continue to earn money in his homeland.
It is worth noting that against the backdrop of Leonid Agutin’s increasingly frequent concerts in Russia, rumors about his breakup with Maria Varum again spread. They say that the latter took a much more radical position and did not agree with the “opportunism” of her husband, who is trying to sit on two chairs. However, a week ago, these rumors were refuted: Agutin and Varum appeared in public, demonstrating an idyll.
