This Tuesday, July 30, Leonardo, a young man who was injured last Sunday after being struck by lightning while playing soccer on a field in the area of Antonio Barona in Cuernavaca, on transferred at dawn to the Magdalena de las Salinas hospital in Megsago City. His mother, Gabriela Gómez, has asked for help from the authorities to continue her son’s treatment.
Thanks to donations from friends, family and supporters, funds were raised to cover initial medical expenses. Leonardo was admitted to Henry Dunant Hospital, where he underwent spleen surgery.
Now, at the Magdalena de las Salinas hospital, 10 blood donors are needed for Leonardo.
Citizens are called to support this cause. The requirements for donating blood are as follows:
- Be between 18 and 65 years old
- Weight at least 50 kilograms
- Be in good health
- Not have had surgery in the last six months or had a tattoo or piercing in the last year
- Not suffering from diseases such as hepatitis B or C, HIV/AIDS, Chagas disease or syphilis.
- Do not suffer from epilepsy
- Not having received a referral
- Do not use drugs
- Women, not pregnant
