Leonardo Padura will write the prologue of the 34 Black Week | BE Gijón | To live that are two days Asturias

Paraphrasing the verse of Gabriel Celada, the 34th edition of the Black week from Gijón is launched ‘To the street, it’s time’, returned to the enclave that hosted it in its third edition, the surroundings of the Puerto Deportivo between July 9 and 18.

The festival returns, once again, to the streets with a firm commitment to the physical attendance of the guests. More than 100 authors have already confirmed their presence, including Leonardo Padura, protagonist of one of the great novelties of its 34th edition and this year the literary contest will be written with a prologue included. As an aperitif, a day dedicated to the Cuban writer and Princess of Asturias Award winner has been organized. The content director of the Week, Ángel de La Calle, detailed that the event will serve to present his latest novel ‘Like dust in the wind’. It will be next June 7 from 7:30 p.m. at the old Gijón School of Commerce.

To alleviate the effect of the capacity limitation and reach the entire public, it will be broadcast through streaming, but all the guests will participate in a presential in the black literature event par excellence.

The literary contest will occupy from the Jardines de la Reina to beyond the building of the old Rula, with a very busy schedule of literary activities and presentations. Comic Noir of the third millennium ‘ which will be located, also as a return to the origins of the week, in the attic of the Barjola Museum.
