For his part, Jiménez replicated on his social networks an excerpt from a conversation given by Menjívar to a local media outlet. “Leonardo Menjívar to Josué Valiente confirms his signing for Alajuelense: ‘It is an important challenge because I am going to leave the country for the first time. I hope to stay and learn in Alajuelense’. As anticipated, everything is ready for him to travel this week to join the manudo team. WE CONTINUE”.

The Salvadoran soccer player was on trial with the Alajuelense Sports League in the week of Monday, July 31 and Friday, August 4. After training with the “manudos”, the cuscatleco left the coaching staff of the Tico team with good feelings to such an extent that they began to negotiate with the northern team, but at some point there was a breaking point.
According to ethical media, Alajuelense had to pay Chalatenango the cost for training rights that was around 150 thousand dollars. After two weeks of negotiations, in the end, the Costa Rican team will sign Menjívar, who stood out for his abilities with the northerners and in the El Salvador team in the 2023 Gold Cup.
