Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has its special appreciation of director Martin Scorsese stressed. “Martin’s tenacity and relentlessness in telling the truth about the stories – no matter how ugly, no matter how bizarre, no matter how uncomfortable – is masterful,” said the 48-year-old in Cannes on Sunday.
“His respect for the history of cinema, for what was made before him, the influence of the great directors of his past that have made him the director he is, is simply incomparable. He has managed to establish himself as the great directors of our time to define,” added DiCaprio.
The movie star and Scorsese have worked together frequently. Her film “Killers of the Flower Moon” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend.
