Aguascalientes. With a goal from Federico Viñas in the last minutes, León rescued a valuable 2-1 victory against Necaxa, adding four games without losing, after a draw and three consecutive victories, this Sunday in a duel on matchday 13 of the Clausura 2024 tournament, played at the Victoria stadium.
Thanks to this result, the La Fiera team accumulated 20 points and approached the league zone, placing ninth in the general classification. In turn, the Rayos remained in seventh place, with 21 points.
The Esmeraldas opened the scoring in the 61st minute through Luis Cervantes, but just three minutes later, in the 64th minute, the Hydrocalides achieved a 1-1 tie thanks to a goal from Brayan Garnica.
Viñas’ score in the 89th gave the visitors the lead back, who thus extended their good streak in the tournament.
FC Juárez comes back and beats Santos Laguna 2-1
In a duel held at the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium, the Braves turned the score around to snatch the 2-1 victory from Santos Laguna, thus achieving their second victory in the competition.
The Warriors took the lead in the 63rd minute through Emmanuel Echeverría, with a shot inside the area. However, FC Juárez came back in the final stretch of the match with goals from Francisco Calvo, at 88, and Ángel Zaldívar, at 90+5.
Despite this victory, the border team remained in third-to-last place in the standings (16) with only nine points. While the La Laguna team wasted the opportunity to add points for the league, as they were left with 14, in 12th place.
