MEXICO CITY, December 27 (EL UNIVERSAL).- One of the Liga MX teams that best advertises its reinforcements is León, who this time took advantage of his new player’s nickname to support a social cause.

Los Esmeraldas presented Lucas “Perro” Romero as their new footballer and the Argentine sent a message raising awareness for the adoption of stray dogs in the city of León, Guanajuato.

“In our city there are thousands of abandoned dogs who are cold and need a family. Join us and adopt a dog”, was the team’s message on their social networks, while the footballer recounts in the video published, “Have A dog is a big responsibility. Let’s do something for them. I’m Lucas ‘Perro’ Romero, thank you for sharing this message.”

The 28-year-old Argentinian arrives from Independiente and plays as a defensive midfielder. He made his debut at Vélez Sarsfield in 2012 and moved on from Cruzeiro and finally to those of Avellaneda. He is the third reinforcement of the Fair after Brian Rubio and Iván Moreno.
