Léon Marchand attended, Saturday evening, the victory of the XV of France against New Zealand (30-29) on the pitch of the Stade de France.
He did not go unnoticed in the stands. Cap screwed on his head, Léon Marchand was present, Saturday evening, in the aisles of the Stade de France to witness the success of the XV of France against New Zealand (30-29).
And the French swimmer, quadruple Olympic champion this summer in Paris, received a warm ovation from the spectators when he appeared on the giant screens in the second half.

“Léon, Léon” came down from the stands and the Toulouse resident, touched by this mark of affection, thanked the public with a wave of his hand and a big smile.
And at the end of the meeting, Léon Marchand went down to the Blues locker room to greet and congratulate Fabien Galthié’s men.

He notably posed with Antoine Dupont, also an Olympic champion with the French rugby sevens team and who plays in Toulouse, as well as Reda Wardi.
“An honor to receive him in our locker room!” posted the French selection on account X (formerly Twitter).
He was also photographed with his namesake Julien Marchand. “But we’re going to let Julien post it,” said the French team’s account. All you have to do is wait to see the result.
