The new videos of León Larregui
The video for “Holidays” is a stop motion animation that intersperses images of Larregui performing the song with folk-rock accents in which it reminds us of the terrible isolation that the world suffered due to the COVID19 pandemic. This, represented by a woman who stays in her house, maintaining her only contact with the outside world through binoculars. The video shows the monotonous daily activities of her that many of us could identify with.
On the other hand, Chromocosmic Avenue is directed by Diego Vargas and photographed by Nicolas Croes- it has a cinematographic texture and emphatically puts on the table the constant invasion of privacy to which we are subjected due to technological advances.
It is the story of Isabel, an introverted, idealistic and revolutionary young woman who, feeling observed by mass surveillance and monitoring control systems, designs and builds a device to enter the servers and free society from the globalized system. All in the name of independence and love. Through an electro-pop atmosphere with distorted voices and lyrics in English, Italian and Spanish, León asserts that we are at the mercy of those who have our information to manipulate us and emphasizes that we must combat this situation.
Both “Holidays” and “Chromocosmic Avenue” will be part of Prismarama, his next solo album.
Two singles “Amantes” and “Su Majestad La Eternidad” have been extracted from Prismarama, which are now available on all music playback platforms.
