“Leo Sauer – Slovakia’s Rising Star at the Under-20 World Championships”

BRATISLAVA. He is only seventeen. At the Under-20 World Championships, he is the youngest member of Slovakia’s squad.

Leo Sauer was perhaps the most interesting of all. He scored an assist in both matches (Fiji, Ecuador). On the field, he appears healthy cheeky and self-confident.

Initially, the Dutch bosses did not want to let him go to Argentina for the world championship, but Leo convinced them.

He is from Bratislava. He grew up in Rač and then in Slovan. At the age of twelve, he chose to leave the richest Slovak club. He headed to Žilina. He had a clear idea why.
