Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin qualify for the round of 16 Indonesia Masters 2024. Leo/Daniel won straight games over Mark Lamsfuss/Marvin Seidel.
In the round of 32 match at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (23/1/2024) afternoon WIB, Leo/Daniel won 21-16, 21-17. It took them 46 minutes to overcome the German representative’s resistance.
Leo/Daniel started the first game well. Even though they were chasing Lamsfuss/Seidel, Leo/Daniel won four points in a row to lead 11-7 at the interval.
A flick serve from Daniel outwits Lamsfuss and gives Leo/Daniel a 15-10 lead. They had reached match point at 20-11, but had difficulty finishing it.
Lamsfuss/Seidel managed to close the gap by winning five points in a row. Leo/Daniel finally won the first game with a score of 21-16.
The match became tight again at the start of the second game. However, Leo/Daniel were again able to secure the lead during the interval. Daniel’s interception at the net gave them an 11-7 lead.
After the interval, Lamsfuss/Seidel came close to winning three points in a row. The German pair finally equalized 13-13 after snatching the ball in front of the net.
Having been overtaken, Leo/Daniel were able to regain the lead 17-14. They finally won 21-17 after their opponent’s smash hit the net.
