Indonesia has pocketed one ticket in the final Indonesia Masters 2024. This certainty was obtained after Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin won the match with Daniel Lungaard/Mads Vestergaard.
Even though it has only been presented in the quarter-finals, Indonesia is certain that Indonesia will qualify for its representative in the top round of the BWF Super 500 tournament.
Because, in the lottery, the results of Leo/Daniel determine the fate of the Indonesian men’s doubles in the next round.
After Leo/Daniel beat Daniel/Mads 21-14, 21-12. Men’s doubles are just waiting for the winner of the last eight match between Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.
From the chart, the two will meet in the semifinals. Thus, whoever wins will automatically advance to the final to compete for the title.
“We are focused on tomorrow (semi-finals). We will try to play better than today and yesterday,” said Leo when asked about the chances of creating an all-Indonesian final for the Indonesia Masters.
Leo/Daniel themselves are the defending champions at the Indonesia Masters 2023. Carrying capital for this title, they are reluctant to be complacent because the opportunity to get to the final is open to anyone.
“Just think about it step by step. We want to try to find just one point,” said Leo.
