Indonesian men’s doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin lost dramatically in the round of 32 at the 2023 Badminton Asia Championships to Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik after playing a rubber game on Thursday (27/4) early morning WIB.
Leo/Daniel lost 21-19, 19-21, 20-22 to Aaron/Soh in a battle that lasted one hour on court two Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Aaron/Soh immediately stepped on the gas at the start of the first game. The Malaysian pair were able to win 8-4 over Leo/Daniel at the start of the first game.
Aaron/Soh keep putting Leo/Daniel under pressure. As a result, Leo/Daniel had to admit Aaron/Soh’s advantage with a score of 7-11 during the first game interval.
Things haven’t improved for Leo/Daniel after the interval. The Babies even left until the score was 13-17.
In difficult situations, Leo/Daniel actually finds the momentum to get up. The slick game shown by Leo/Daniel allowed them to turn around 18-17 and close the first game with a score of 21-19.
In the second game, Leo/Daniel fell behind again in points. Aaron/Soh were able to lead 8-4 and closed the second game interval at 11-7.

The duel between Leo/Daniel vs Aaron/Soh got even fiercer after the interval. Leo/Daniel were able to overtake the point deficit from 14-19 down to enter the setting point 20-20.
Unfortunately, the next two points were secured by Aaron/Soh, who won with a score of 22-20 in the third game.
