What joy to relive, each year, the beautiful path that leads us, throughout Lent, until the feast of Easter, dazzling manifestation of the infinite love of Jesus for each one of us. The beginning of Lent is the perfect time to turn once again to the center of the universe, towards God, our Creator, our Savior, our Father. And this, for 40 days and 40 nights, for a heart to heart with Him. We must constantly strive and concentrate to keep our lives in direction, but also to develop and deepen our relationship with our Savior. This Ash Wednesday (Wednesday, February 22, 2023) thus marks the beginning of Lent.

The Tradition of the Catholic Church offers three tools for interior conversion:prayer, fasting, almsgiving. These three tools successively express conversion in relation to God, in relation to oneself, in relation to others. They help us to correct our vices (faults) while preserving charity.

The season of Lent may seem austere because the road to Salvation, at the beginning, is always difficult. However, as Saint Benedict writes,as one progresses in a holy life and in faith, the heart expands, and it is with an unspeakable sweetness of love that one runs in the way of the commandments of God.Thus, Lent is not a time of sadness, but a time of joy. Let’s rejoice because, once again, we have the opportunity to show Jesus how much we love him.
