The different associations, brotherhoods and fraternities of the Catholic temples of the Historic Center of the City, began the process for the registration of devotees for the different processions to be held during Lent and Holy Week 2025, in order to maintain an adequate order of the different processes.
This Saturday, the Association of Devotees Carriers of the Consecrated Image of Jesus of Miracles of the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Señor San José has begun the registration process for new carriers who will participate in the penitential processional procession on Thursday after Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2025.
Through a press release, it was reported that this Saturday, from 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon, the registration process for devotees will begin, but with a different dynamic.

People who want to participate in the procession as new porters must present their Personal Identification Document (DPI) and, if they are minors, the birth certificate with the Unique Identification Code (CUI), this being a personal procedure.
Likewise, those who are registered must participate in two catechism courses that will be taught on August 29 and September 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or for those who are facilitated on the weekend on August 31 and September 7 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

According to the association, anyone who wishes to acquire the respective turn must participate in both catechism classes and cannot delegate their participation to other people.
Once this phase is completed, the process for the respective registration will be enabled, which the association will carry out at a future date.

For those porters who have a seniority code for the processions on Palm Sunday and Thursday after Ash Wednesday, registration will take place on the following dates:
- September 22
- November 24th
- February 2, 2025
In the usual place, being the Miguel García Granados school, which is located in front of the sanctuary.
