The objective remained clear for Franck Haise’s men: to reconnect with success to glimpse the top 5. Defeated at home by Nîmes (2-0) last weekend, Dijon absolutely had to relaunch in the race for maintenance. The Sang et Or settled the situation at the half hour mark by Fofana who with a nice volley of the right deceived Racioppi (1-0, 30th). Against all expectations, Dijon stuck to the score on the hour mark by Ngonda Muzinga who with a powerful strike surprised Leca (1-1, 61st). An equalizer that woke up the Lensois who regained the advantage a few seconds later. Upon receipt of a free kick struck by Clauss, Banza of a recovery of the right adjusted Racioppi (2-1, 64 ‘). Three minutes later, Nîmes made the break by Ripart upon receiving a free kick struck by Eliasson (2-0, 71st). With his sixth victory of the season, Nîmes provisionally came back to two lengths in the standings of the first jump-off Lorient.
OGC Nice can’t do it anymore
For its part, the Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace faced Angers at La Meinau. Thierry Laurey’s men who triumphed in Metz last Sunday (2-1) could distance themselves from the red zone in case of victory. The deal turned out to be different for the SCO beaten by Nantes to Raymond Kopa (1-3) who could make a nice jump in the standings in the event of a positive result.
