The technology was developed for hybrid work and has the potential to allow for the development of entirely new form factors, e.g. screens that go in and out of the enclosure of a laptop or phone, Lenovo writes in a press release released at the conference.

Lenovo launches the new 16-inch foldable laptop
Two years after the first foldable computer hit the market, Lenovo is back with a sequel to the X1 Fold. The new model has, among other things, a larger screen and a slimmer shape.
Whether the rollable technology will hit shelves in the near future is uncertain, but Lenovo plans to invest further in developing new technologies in the future.
