Lenovo Legion 9i: A Gaming Laptop with Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and Water Cooling Technology

The novelty is equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics and an Intel Core i9-13980HX processor
The lid is covered with carbon and each piece is therefore original
The price will exceed one hundred thousand crowns. It will be available from October

Lenovo has prepared a real gaming specialty for the Berlin IFA trade fair. The 9i model is a novelty in the line of Legion gaming machines, which surprises above all with its own closed water circuit for cooling, which is still a relatively rare technology for laptops. But it will also be reflected in the price, which is supposed to be 4,399 dollars, which, converted to crowns, means less than 120,000 including tax.

The Legion 9i is definitely not the first gaming laptop with water cooling, but it is unique mainly due to the fact that the entire system is closed and there is no need to use any other external accessories. But the novelty will definitely impress with its 16″ display, which is made with Mini LED technology and offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz or an aspect ratio of 16:10. Thanks to the very narrow frames, we reach a screen-to-body ratio of 94%.

The carbon back looks very interesting

Also interesting are the backs of the display, which are made of forged carbon, so each piece looks a little different. The keyboard has a colored backlight and a strip of light also runs along the edge of the device. Graphical performance is ensured by the currently most powerful mobile game unit Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. In terms of memory, we can look forward to a 2TB SSD disk and 64GB of operating memory. The role of the processor here is fulfilled by the 13th generation Intel Core i9-13980HX.

The backlit keyboard is complemented by a colorful light strip under the edge of the notebook

The water cooling was designed in collaboration with Cooler Master and starts only when the graphics unit has a temperature higher than 84 °C. This increases the possible performance of the notebook, but at the same time increases the life of the individual components.

There is also a rich range of connectors

Although the Legion 9i is only 22.7 mm thick, its weight is certainly not low (2.56 kg). The bloated novelty should be available in October this year. The package includes a 330W gaming adapter and a 140W Type-C adapter.
