Bernd Leno assures that Arsenal’s season will be difficult to save. The German goalkeeper indicates that Mikel Arteta’s team has suffered “big problems” during this course that has prevented them from performing better and having a better classification (they are tenth to 7 points in Europe).
“We were completely lacking consistency,” the Gunners goalkeeper told German media Kicker. “In the fall, we had big problems, a bad atmosphere … and we turned the corner. Now, at least, we are trying again to enter the Europa League. [Clasificarse para la] Champions will be very, very difficult ”.
Arsenal beat Tottenham in the North London derby last weekend, a match that fills Arteta’s team with morale.
“Hopefully it will increase the confidence level of the team and the belief that we can play really well against any opponent, we can beat the great teams as well and hold everyone together with great conviction,” he said.
“We know we have to add four or five wins in a row to have any chance of looking up the table, but we are ready for the fight,” says Leno.
