Lenny leaves The Voice Kids on the verge of the final

the essentials The young Montayralais tackled Balavoine for the semi-finals of The Voice Kids, Saturday evening, but he was not selected by his coach Slimane.

He had seduced the four coaches with his interpretation of “Voilà” by Barbara Pravi during the blind auditions, before joining Slimane’s team. “I’ve been waiting for you all season,” the latter even said to him, choosing to take him to the semi-finals after the battles stage where the 12-year-old Montayralais offered a magnificent performance by facing Loucia on the song “Let me dance” by Dalida.

“You grew up, you became a real artist”

This Saturday, September 28 at 9 p.m., it was time for the coaches (Patrick Fiori, Lara Fabian, Claudio Capéo and Slimane) to choose which of the four talents of their team would reach the final, on October 5. Slimane’s team went last, and Lenny closed the evening in style. After three remarkable performances by his comrades – Raphaël chose to perform “Golden Hour” by JVKE, Coline opted for “Peurs” by Slimane, Antoine seized on “Sos d’un terrain en distress” by Daniel Balavoine – the Lot-et-Garonnais arrived on stage by covering “Life teaches me nothing” by Daniel Balavoine, with great finesse.

His delicate and accurate voice moved the entire room, from the spectators to the coaches, even bringing a few tears to his teammate and evening rival Raphaël and his parents, in the audience. Once the performance was over, his coach Slimane, seduced and proud, took him in his arms. “You have grown since you have been here, you have become a real artist in the way you tell stories and I am so proud of you, of this crazy team,” he said.

A magnificent performance, but not enough to reach the final. Among the four artists, the singer-songwriter chose to keep Coline, a 15-year-old high school student who had impressed with her cover of Andra Day’s “Rise Up” during the blind auditions. “What Coline did this evening was above all,” he admitted, before adding a little word for the three other talents on his team. “Don’t blame me, just keep going. »

From today, the Montayralais will resume his normal life at the Jean Monnet college, in Fumel, close to his other passions: football, basketball, boxing, but without putting aside, we hope, his talent for singing.
