VIVA – In 2018, Deontay Wilder bragged about beating boxing legend Mike Tyson. Wilder, who was still holding the WBC heavyweight championship belt, said Mike Tyson in his heyday would not be able to win over him.
The statement drew the attention of British boxing legend, Lennox Lewis. According to him, Wilder is indeed one of the best boxers he has ever seen. Wilder, for Lewis also has high self-confidence.
However, Lewis saw that what Wilder possessed had not been able to defeat Tyson. In fact, Lewis assess Wilder also will not be able to fight Tyson today even though the Concrete Neck is 54 years old.

Lewis is not without reason saying so. The reason is, the former holder of the heavyweight world title version of WBC, IBF and IBO and The Ring had been against Tyson.
The moment occurred at The Pyramid, Memphis, United States on June 8, 2002. In a way, Lewis was lucky because he faced Tyson who was then 35 years old. In that battle, Lewis managed to take down Tyson in the fourth round.
The victory made Lewis the fourth boxer to defeat Tyson. Previously there was Buster Douglas, and twice from Evander Holyfield.
