The man first fled in his vehicle and then hid in vain in the cargo area of the Mercedes Sprinter. A review showed that the Indian citizen was not only illegally staying in Austria, but also had 260 administrative fines amounting to 137,000 euros, the police reported on Wednesday.
No valid driver’s license
In addition, the 35-year-old did not have a valid driver’s license and his vehicle was not approved for traffic. The suspect was arrested and reported several times. The police secured the vehicle and a pepper spray that was lying in the passenger compartment.
