The President of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, announced additional measures of mobility restriction, movement ban and suspension of some services and public events during April and May in the country. The president also spoke of the emergency that Guayaquil is experiencing due to the pandemic of coronavirus and requested transparency on the information of deaths and measures against contingency. He also asked Ecuadorians “not to minimize the severity of this crisis.”
