At 2:30 pm on Wednesday, President Lenin Moreno entered the White House with his wife Rocío González, where they were received by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, with a protocol act in between and the flags of the two countries at the entrance door.
Minutes later, Moreno and Trump, along with their wives, toured the exteriors of the building and remained a few minutes in front of the cameras.
Subsequently, in the Oval Room, which is the principal office of the US president, President Trump offered some press statements in which he ratified the concern about the impact of the situation in Venezuela in the Region, the security risks that afflict Ecuador for drug trafficking and interest in a Trade Agreement, similar to the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta).
At the beginning of the official agenda during his visit to Washington, the president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, visited with his official entourage the Arlington cemetery. There, in the middle of a military ceremony, the Ecuadorian president placed a floral offering on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Yesterday, a senior US government official said that more than several topics of education, health, commerce, will analyze the political situation of neighboring countries such as Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua.
The other ministers that make up the official delegation will also participate in the meeting with US authorities at the headquarters of the US Executive.

The agenda of activities of the Ecuadorian president in the United States extends until this Friday.
The official agenda includes meetings with representatives of the United States Chamber of Commerce, members of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, the president of the World Bank, David Malpass; and the secretary general of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro.
