In 2010 she was only the second German to win the Eurovision Song Contest: Lena Meyer-Landrut. For her it was the starting shot of a career that is not limited to music.

Uncertainties at ESC winner Lena Meyer-Landrut? A lot of people can’t really imagine that.

After all, since her breakthrough at the “Eurovision Song Contest”, the 30-year-old has been appearing as a tough woman who hasn’t spoken up. But confesses in front of the Sat.1 camera Lena Meyer-Landrut now that she, too, struggles with her decisions from time to time. Especially when it’s not just about you.

Lena Meyer-Landrut struggles with herself: her colleagues have long agreed

Als „The Voice Kids“-Coachin muss Lena Meyer-Landrut keep making difficult decisions. She makes dreams come true and unfortunately also burst. Because not everyone can get a place on their team.

Particularly nasty: The candidates are not experienced musicians who have already had experience with cancellations, but children who are still attending school. Saying no to them can quickly end in tear drama.

In the new episode of the Sat.1 talent show, 12-year-old Solveig wants to prove her singing talent. She sings “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas & The Papas for the “The Voice Kids” judges. While Wincent Weiss, Alvaro Soler, Michi Beck and Smudo quickly hit the buzzer in front of them, Lena Meyer-Landrut takes a lot of time before turning around for the student.

Twelve-year-old sings only for Lena Meyer-Landrut – “You deserve that everyone turns around”

And that’s despite the fact that Solveig only stares at the “Strip'” singer’s red armchair during her performance. “She looks at your chair all the time,” Wincent Lena says. “She only sings to Lena!” Smudo also remarks.

In her feedback, the 30-year-old explains: “It took me a bit to turn around because I wasn’t sure if we belong together, if I’m perfect for your voice. Then I turned around because I was like, ‘I can’t not turn around!’ You’re so good, you deserve a 4 buzzer. You deserve everyone turning their heads. You have a sensational voice.”

In the end, however, Solveig does not choose Lena, but Alvaro. After all, he was the first coach to turn around for her.

Meanwhile, Lena’s “The Voice” colleague Mark Forster has become pretty quiet. What happened?
