This official cabinet is a provocation to the second largest political force “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB), said Lena Borislavova in “This Sunday”.
“If he really had his own choice when appointing this cabinet, Dimitar Glavchev chose the side of GERB-DPS and left in it those ministers who, from our point of view, were strongly criticized because of doubts that they would ensure fair and independent elections. Namely, the Minister of e-Government and the Minister of the Interior,” said Borislavova.
According to her, the composition of this cabinet is not only politically unacceptable for the PP, but is highly provocative and raises a lot of puzzling questions regarding the three big scandals at the moment.
“The first big scandal is related to “Turkish Stream” and energy, and the other is related to the situation in the judicial system,” she added.
For Lena Borislavova, the changes in the Constitution are good and they achieve the goal of the PP that the president cannot unilaterally and without any control choose who will be acting prime minister.
With regard to Kalin Stoyanov, she stated that there can be no protests, criticism of his work and refusal to answer the questions of the deputies in the National Assembly and then Dimitar Glavchev to appoint him.
In connection with the resignation of the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, Borislavova stated that it is not normal in a European country for her to be asked in this way and to be under pressure from the prosecutor’s office.
“The prosecution is committing a crime. The state cannot be conquered by the deep structures of the past in this way,” added Lena Borislavova.
When asked if, after the elections, PP are ready to sit down at the same table with GERB-SDS again for negotiations, Borislavova stated: “As long as Delyan Peevski sits at this table on behalf of GERB, we cannot continue talks with them.”
