Hot tea with lemon is the drink of choice for many people in the winter season, due to its great ability to provide warmth to the body in cold weather, as well as its effective role in relieving cold and flu symptoms.

Is drinking tea with lemon bad for your bones?
Tea with lemon is said to pose a serious danger to bone and joint health, and this has been debunked by Dr. Hani Al-Anani, a consultant orthopedic surgeon.
Anani stressed that there is no practical evidence that tea with lemon is harmful to the body’s bone health, describing the common belief as a “myth”.

An orthopedic consultant has confirmed that tea with lemon is a good drink for human health, but it should be consumed in light of the following guidelines:
Drink lemon tea in moderation.
Balance the amount of tea and lemon when brewing.
Do not add sugar to lemon tea, rather it is preferable to replace it with a teaspoon of bee honey.
– Drink tea with lemon two hours after eating so that it does not interfere with the body’s absorption of iron.

According to Food.ndtv, lemon juice does not negatively affect bone health. In fact, its vitamin C plays an important role in relieving arthritis and associated symptoms, such as pain and swelling, thanks to its antioxidant properties.

While tea, researchers conducted a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, on 1037 people, aged 30 and older, to see its effect on bone health.
The study concluded that people who drink tea regularly have bones, especially the spine, thighs and neck, with a high mineral density, according to the Harvard Health website.
The research team found that the fluoride and flavonoid compounds present in abundance in the tea are the reason for the increase in bone mineral density in the study participants.
