The series of “picnic concerts” organized by the concert and booking agency Landstreicher was already a resounding success in 2020 and is set to repeat itself this year.

“We are very optimistic that the concerts can take place again. The incidence values are falling, the number of vaccinations is increasing. In the best case scenario, we can even make the concerts bigger,” said press spokeswoman Jessica Droll in good spirits.

Last year, the concert series initially only took place in Leipzig, Berlin and Dresden. In 2021, numerous cities such as Cologne, Münster, Magdeburg and Erfurt will also be there. In Leipzig, the concerts with around 1000 planned visitors will find ample space in Agra Park in the south of the city.

“There is a huge meadow available to us there – if the current easing allows, we can then increase the ticket quota even further,” said Droll.

In order to protect visitors from possible infection and the spread of the coronavirus, the Landstreicher team worked out a comprehensive hygiene concept.

“The concept had to cover as many eventualities as possible. In advance we considered where there could be” traffic jams “, for example in front of the beer or food stands or the toilets. Contact tracking also always had to be possible,” reported Jessica Droll.

The tickets of the visitors are scanned contactless at the spacious entrance, the guests are then guided via marked paths to their seats, where they can spread a picnic blanket at a distance of at least 1.5 meters.
