On Sunday, October 31, 2021, winter will begin at the central German airports in Dresden and Leipzig / Halle. A new flight plan comes into effect. In total, the airlines and tour operators offer direct flights to 14 countries. There are new flight offers from Dresden to London. From Leipzig / Halle it goes non-stop to Paris. The winter flight schedule is valid until March 26, 2022.

Flying from Leipzig / Halle
16 airlines take off from Leipzig / Halle Airport to 15 destinations in eight countries.
New in the winter flight schedule:
The Spanish airline Vueling will take off for Paris on November 2nd. Scheduled flights to Paris Orly are offered twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Sun destinations non-stop
With Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm el Sheikh, there are direct flights to three popular sun destinations in Egypt to choose from.
In the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria (Las Palmas), Fuerteventura and Tenerife can be reached directly from Leipzig / Halle.
The departure board also says: Heraklion, Palma de Mallorca and Funchal (Madeira).
Six different airlines offer flights to Antalya from Leipzig / Halle. The popular Turkish holiday destination can thus be reached every day.
Connection to international hubs
Within Germany, three destinations can be reached directly from Leipzig / Halle. Lufthansa goes to Frankfurt and Munich twice a day. Eurowings flies to Düsseldorf eight times a week.
Flights to major European cities
The range of European city connections includes flights with Austrian Airlines to Vienna (up to 10 flights per week) and Paris with Vueling (twice a week).
Flying from Dresden
Seven airlines take off from Dresden Airport to 13 destinations in seven countries.
New in the winter flight schedule:
Ryanair will fly to London Stansted on December 2nd. The Irish low-cost airline takes off from Dresden on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Sun-seekers have the choice between flights to the Canary Islands Gran Canaria (Las Palmas), Fuerteventura and Tenerife as well as to Hurghada in Egypt. In addition, Palma de Mallorca and Antalya are on the departure board.
Four destinations are expected to be served within Germany. Lufthansa connects Dresden up to three times a day with the Frankfurt hubs and up to twice a day with Munich.
The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings links the Dresden region with Düsseldorf (up to eleven times a week) and Stuttgart (up to six weekly flights).
Connection to major European cities
The Saxon state capital is also connected to important European hubs. KLM offers five weekly flights to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The Lufthansa subsidiary SWISS leaves for Zurich up to four times a week.
As a result of the pandemic, airlines and tour operators are continuously adapting their offers. Short-term changes in the flight plan are therefore possible, both airports inform.
