Already last weekend more fans were able to pour into the stadiums of the Bundesliga. This was made possible by the decision of the State and Senate Chancellery, which states that up to 10,000 fans will be allowed again in the future with a maximum occupancy rate of 50 percent at major events. However, the same rules do not apply everywhere – there are also differences this weekend.

When RB Leipzig opens the 22nd matchday against 1. FC Köln on Friday evening (8:30 p.m.), 15,000 fans can watch – the most on this matchday. The reason: A change to the Corona Emergency Ordinance of the State of Saxony and the approval granted for the admission of spectators under 2G-plus conditions (vaccinated or recovered and tested) for the upcoming home games. In Lower Saxony, only 500 fans are still allowed in the stadiums, but VfL Wolfsburg plays away to Frankfurt.

In the home game against Mainz, SC Freiburg is looking forward to 10,000 supporters, who are permitted under the new Corona regulation of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The tickets sold out quickly. “Fortunately there are finally more than 500 or 750 again,” said SC coach Christian Streich. VfL Bochum can play record champions Bayern Munich in front of 8,500 fans. 10,000 would actually be allowed, but due to a new distance regulation, the game will be in front of fewer fans take place.
