“Leicester’s defensive struggles continue in 5-3 loss to Fulham – James Maddison speaks out”

Leicester traveled to London for a meeting with Fulham on Monday.

It ended 5-3 to Fulham and Leicester, who are already involved in the battle for the bottom, did not improve themselves after that effort. James Maddison, however, delivered forward, but at the back they conceded five goals.

James Maddison was understandably disappointed after the match:

– It hurts. It was a big game for us and we weren’t there. We didn’t start the game well enough. We weren’t hungry enough to want to win the game. We have to do the basics well, he told the BBC after the match.

When he was then asked if the defensive play was a concern, he soured.

– We conceded five goals, what do you think? We have players who can score, we have threat and creativity, we scored three goals today. We can’t defend like we did, that’s why we’re where we are but it’s not just the defenders, it’s the whole team. You defend as a team.

Leicester are currently in 17th place on the same points as Leeds and Nottingham Forest.
