United get third with Leeds 6-2
MADRID, 20 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Leicester passed Tottenham on the right to get second in the table and leave the ‘Spurs’ fifth, thanks to the 0-2 on matchday 14 of the Premier, which brought another firm step from Manchester United, already third, in the win against Leeds (6-2).
The ‘Foxes’ gave the second blow in a row to those of Jose Mourinho, who from being leaders are now six points behind Liverpool. Jamie Vardy returned to pull the champion in 2016, who again aspires to the top, four points behind the leader ‘red’.
Just before the break, with a VAR-assisted penalty, Vardy put Leicester ahead, who was able to double the rent at the restart but this time the VAR didn’t smile at James Maddison by millimeters. However, Alderweireld made his own that 0-2 and Tottenham, with Bale as Mourinho’s booster, failed to score.
In addition, United climbed to the league podium with a sweeping exit against Leeds. The ‘Red Devils’ won 2-0 in the third minute with a double from McTominay. Bruno Fernandes and Lindelof doubled before the break a score that Liam Cooper made up (4-1). Despite the intensity of Marcelo Bielsa in the band, Leeds did not know how to cover gaps or stop the bleeding at Old Trafford.
Daniel James and Bruno again made the ‘set’, with 6-2 finally by the goal of Dallas. United, with one game less, are five points behind Liverpool, while Leeds continues their irregular season in the return to the Premier.
