A 3D scanner with laser technology from Leica with a smaller size and a more affordable price is available in Indonesia
For professional 3D space scanning, a camera capable of capturing 360° images is obviously not enough. Scanning purposes are in fact widely used for architecture, film, interior documentation and so on. Luckily, tools like this have been around in Indonesia for a long time even though they are quite large. And now, a 3D scanner with a smaller shape has arrived in Indonesia from Leica.
Leica has released a 3D scanner called the BLK360. This new 3D laser scanner has a compact and lightweight design capable of scanning an entire structure or building space in just 20 seconds. This is faster than the previous generation, the Leica BLK360 G1, which can scan for up to 100 seconds. The BLK360 is equipped with 4 cameras with a resolution of 13 megapixels and 5 HDR brackets to present detailed and clear image captures.
Busroni Arif Yanto – President Director of Leica Geosystems Indonesia said that the presence of the latest generation of BLK360 makes it easier and faster for users to obtain accurate documentation. For distribution in Indonesia, Leica cooperates with Datascrip, which has numerous subsidiaries throughout Indonesia. Datascrip will take care of everything from sales to assistance in maintaining the device in case of failure.
The Leica BLK360 is capable of acquiring measurements with a range of up to 45 meters. This device also has a height measurement level of up to 4 mm at a distance of 10 meters. The results of this scan will produce a 3D image that can be precisely measured and viewed virtually and that resembles its original shape. Of course, the results can be used for the film’s visual effects production process and field mapping for various needs.
This latest model features USB-C for faster data transfers. Also, this 3D laser scanner device can be connected directly to smartphones and tablets through applications that have been provided on Android and iOS. After that v will automatically combine the scan results in each room into all existing visual buildings.
The Leica BLK360 sells for Rp. 500 million, more affordable than previous generations said to be worth billions of rupees. In addition to sales and support, DataScrip will also provide training for those in need. This device can also be ordered directly from DataScrip offices throughout Indonesia.
