Robin Lehner said he is “waiting calmly”.

But after the star goalkeeper froze his assets, he has disappeared without a trace.

His lawyers can’t get a hold of him, they haven’t been paid – and they are now dumping Lehner as a client.

“Communications from Mr. Lehner have completely ceased”Zachariah Larson writes in a filing with a Nevada bankruptcy court.

The bankruptcy surrounding the Swedish NHL goaltender has been going on for nearly two years.

Robin Lehner — who was in the middle of a $250 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights — and his wife Donya filed for bankruptcy at the end of December 2022.

Since then, the bankruptcy administrator and the co-parties have converted and converted the existing assets and the debts taken by Lehner – in the order of SEK 280 million.

Among other things, he had lied multi-million sums on a reptile farm with rare snakes in Missouri, and lying large sums on exotic fish on his special platinum card from American Express.

Now even Lehner’s lawyers have had enough – and are resigning from representing Sweden in the case.

“Difficult and occasional”

Zachariah Larson, one of the two attorneys at the firm Larson & Zirzow who represented Lehner, wrote to the judge that they could not reach their client without intermediaries:

“Throughout the Chapter 7 filing, communication with the debtors, particularly Mr. Lehner, has been difficult and often intermittent, requiring efforts to reach Mr. Lehner through individuals who worked to communicate between Mr. Lehner and Larson & Zirzow to make it possible.

And – since last summer it has gotten even worse.

“Since it was assessed in early June 2024, communication from Mr.

The law firm also writes that the communication with Donya Lehner – who is part of the bankruptcy case – has been “very limited” and, as a whole, they can no longer represent the Lehner couple.

“Furthermore, the debtors have been unable or unwilling to compensate Larson & Zirzow for services rendered, /…/ which has resulted in an unreasonable financial burden on L&Z and its is a reason to cancel the job.

Earlier this week, the judge granted Larson and Zirzow’s request to be released from their duty to represent Robin Lehner. As for Donya Lehner, another court meeting is needed before a decision is made, according to the judge.

Don’t show up to training camp

In September, Lehner’s assets were frozen by the judge in bankruptcy court, when one of the creditors said in a court filing that Lehner was engaged in wasteful spending and transferring money from bank accounts to shell companies with links to Dubai.

He then did not appear at the Vegas Golden Knights preseason training camp.

Had he attended training camp and passed a physical that indicated he could not play, he could have continued to remain on the long-term injury list he has been on since the t – season 22-23.

– I can’t say at this point that everyone knows why I couldn’t be there. I’m calmly waiting for things to work out, Lehner chimed in report until NHL insiders Elliott Friedman.

Lehner has not played hockey since the spring of 2022.

He has since undergone hip surgery and has therefore been placed on the long-term disabled list (which means his salary will not affect the salary cap for the Golden Knights). After Lehner didn’t appear in the preseason, Vegas reportedly reached out settlement with Sweden. It means Lehner will not be part of the squad – but will still get paid.

He can represent himself

According to the bankruptcy court, Robin and Donya Lehner have not hired new lawyers despite being asked to do so – and they must now represent themselves at the next court hearing.

Expressen has sought the law firm and solicitor for the bankruptcy trustee.
